Squid is a caching and forwarding web proxy that supports HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, DNS, and more. Its also possible to enable transparent proxying, which does not require client interaction or setup to work.

Squid can be installed on Byzantium by accessing the OPNsense web portal and navigating to System > Firmware > Plugins; and installing the plugin os-squid
